The military has a long history of arguing change is going to be really hard, only to discover after it has to change, well, it’s just not that hard. Should Congress muster up the gumption to end discrimination against gays, the ban will end with a whimper, not a bang.

At the end of the day, that IS what the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” debate comes down to, ending discrimination. You either believe gays should be discriminated against, or you don’t. I believe they should not be. Not in the U.S. military, or anywhere else.
