My high schooler noticed some of the poor grammer just glancing at it. Are there no editors? One example: "Afraid that a wrong decision will result in the needless loss of American lives without making American [America or Americans] any safer. " Another example: "History shows the perils of unquestioning following the military consensus." I don't think I can fix that sentance. If what you are trying to say is that we have civilian control of our military for a reason, yes, it's in the Constitution to protect from the military taking over the government. If you need an example of the government not listening to the military leaders then look at Vietnam and how LBJ botched that up and cost thousands of lives and prolonged the war. In addition to the poor grammer, this author, who covered Cheney in '92, didn't mention anything about when he was VP? Sounds like this guy has an political agenda that seems to be "wrong-headed". Since seven months ago he sent over 40,000 troops to Afghanistan, Pakistan joined the fight, and the government of Afghanistan has had an election and been in termoil. Also during that time he dispatched Gen McChrystal for his assessment. My point, Ben, is that the situation is constantly changing and our president has been adjusting our strategy. The only liers that I have seen through all of this is the former administration. Now they like to use the word liar to describe our current president hoping that citizens will forget the real truth. Money will be appropriated for projects that will never see a patient!!! Buildings will be built and new roads will be constructed just to get their, and I gaurantee you, a patient will never set foot in these buildings! Quote me on this Les!!!
